How to reach Ludwigshafen

Ludwigshafen am Rhein is located in Rhineland-Palatinate, Germany, in the westbank of the Rhine River, opposite Mannheim. With Mannheim, Heidelberg and the surrounding area, it forms the Rhine-Neckar Metropolitan Region.

Ludwigshafen is primarily known as an industrial city. BASF and many other companies have their offices in Ludwigshafen.

Ludwigshafen is easy to reach by plane, train or by bus.

By plane

Ludwigshafen does not have its own airport, but it is very close to several airports:

By train

Deutsche Bahn offers cheap train connections from Frankfurt International Airport to Ludwigshafen (30 minutes), Stuttgart Airport to Ludwigshafen (from 1:45 hours) and Karlsruhe/Baden-Baden to Ludwigshafen (from 1:45 hours). At first sight you will find that Cinema Paradiso & Arte is quite hidden. You can't see the venue right from the street since it is located in a backyard. You will find the entrance to the backyard next to „Rudolf-Scharpf-Galerie“. Then you just need to walk all the way through the backyard and enter the last door.
